After her daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia, Jennifer Bickel pivoted her career to combine her passion for dyslexia with her Occupational Therapy background. She received her Barton Certification in 2023 and loves helping children discover their best learning styles, incorporating movement into learning, and building their confidence. Jennifer is deeply passionate about education, making connections in the community, and helping families find the support they need.
As the founder of Booster, she provides specialized 1:1 tutoring for children with dyslexia, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, reading challenges, handwriting difficulties and more . Her approach goes beyond tutoring—she collaborates with parents, teachers, therapists, and specialists to create a strong support system for each child.
At Booster, the mission is simple: Learn. Build. Launch. Jennifer focuses on strengthening reading and spelling skills, improving handwriting, and developing executive functioning strategies to help students succeed both in and out of the classroom. Whether in-person or online, she is committed to equipping students with the tools they need to thrive.

Reading and Spelling
We take the guesswork out of reading and spelling! Using a structured, multi-sensory approach, we connect letter sounds with letter names to help children build strong reading and spelling skills—so they can learn, grow, and launch with confidence.
Occupational therapy
With a strong foundation in Occupational Therapy, Booster integrates fine motor skills (handwriting, cutting), visual-auditory skills (scanning, discrimination), and gross motor movement (jumping, crossing midline) into learning. This multi-sensory approach enhances engagement, strengthens foundational skills, and supports overall academic success!
Executive Functioning Skills
We work with children to help them better understand their learning styles and develop essential organization and planning skills. From managing their time and creating a study routine to organizing their backpack and setting up an effective study area, we equip them with the tools they need for success!
Ready to Launch
We design personalized strategies—ideas, lists, binders, and more—to match your child's unique learning style. We collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to ensure consistent support. Our goal? To give your child the confidence BOOST they need to self-advocate and thrive!
